Our First Day Back to Work

Well...after a wonderful summer of being home with Bailey and Griffin, the sad day of going back of work has arrived. I know that this is going to be an adjustment for us (especially since all three of us have slept until 9:00 most of the summer!)....a BIG change from getting up multiple times a night and getting up at 6:00a.m.! Although I will miss my babies so much during the day, it really helps me that I love my job and that Mrs. Chelsea takes such good care of them!

Bailey and I this morning...she looks so tired!!! She's like her Mommy...not a morning girl!

Sweet babies!

And just for fun....just a glimpse for you into our daily life...
"Oh wow, Bailey, look at that fun wand!"

Griffin- "I think I'll take that"
Bailey-"I don't think so"

The battle of strength

Now we're both screaming....Griffin won...until Bailey screamed! :)

If you ever need a good laugh, just come on over! They have started tackling each other and they think it's so funny....I have so many "fun" times ahead! :)

We Love Great Grandparents...and trips to Nashville, AR!

This weekend, Jacob "had to" play in a golf tournament, haha, so Bailey, Griffin, and I decided we would go spend the weekend in Nashville, AR, with my parents and grandparents. I knew it would be a lot of work to go for one night, but I'm SO glad that we did...we had a great time and I loved Bailey and Griffin interacting with all of our family!

Now that Bailey and Griffin are a little bit older and a little more independent, I really want to try to go much more often. I have so many wonderful memories of weekends during the year and weeks during the summer that I would go to Nashville to stay with my grandparents, and I want Bailey and Griffin to have those same memories.

Friday night, we got to Nashville around 7:00 and had dinner at my Grandads...nothing like home cooking that's grown in the garden right outside! :) After eating, we went on a ride on the ranger (safer version of a four wheeler) and saw the cows in the pasture. Griffin LOVES cows these days and had the best time listening to them moooooooo and moooing right back at them. Bailey just took it all in and had fun honking the horn. After our little ride, we rode on over to my uncles house (he lives on the next hill over) and played on their play set and dug in the rocks. Griffin loved getting dirty, and Bailey loved playing with Aunt Hannah and our cousin, Reagan!

My sweet cousin, Reagan, and Bailey swinging!

He's pure boy...riding his tractor with a shovel in hand

The views at my Grandad's and uncle's houses are amazing...especially at sunset!

He was so frustrated because he wanted to climb!

Poppy gave him a lift!

They LOVED riding the ranger!

Griffin and Grandad were big buddies!

Sweet profile!

Bailey trying to get to the dog...notice those chunky little legs!

Bath time! I love this bathtub!

Sweet girl

Saturday morning, we woke up and headed into town to visit my Nana. Both of my parents are from Nashville, so it's nice getting to see both sides of our family! When we arrived at Nana's, her two sisters and my Dad's cousin, Becky, were there. Nana and her sisters are the funniest thing when they all get together. It was great for them all to get to love on B and G! It was also neat to see Bailey and Griffin playing with the toys that I played with as a little girl!

Nana's sister, Frances and Sarah, loving on Bailey

Griffin and Nana chatting

Oh my goodness...love this face!

Is this our future?!?! Too bad she won't know what a real phone is!

Sweet picture of Nana and Bailey reading

After playing at Nana's for a little while, we headed back out to Grandad's for naptime...Griffin slept almost FOUR hours!!! The country life was wearing that little boy out! :) When they woke up, my aunt, uncle, and cousins came over to play! I am the oldest grandchild and have much younger cousins, so it was neat to watch them play with Bailey and Griffin!

Bailey, Uncle Bryan, and my cousin, Weller...isn't he a doll?!?!

Typical boy aggravating Bailey, haha...she was trying to pull it Weller would stand on it and just look at her!

Griffin woke up from his nap and just sat in Grandad's lap...which is not typical for him! So sweet!

My cousin, Walker....he starts kindergarten in a week!!

My Grandad's pasture....you can see the garden in the distance..I've picked many vegetables there!

I love my little boy!

Bailey's turn to dig!

Once again, Griffin in Grandad's lap!

We had an amazing time on our short weekend and look forward to going back really soon!! I can't wait for Bailey and Griffin to make memories there! On a side note, another reason I love going to Grandads is because I come home with these goodies....

homemade pickles

fresh peaches!

Such fun times!!!

What have we been up to????

Well, I figured that when my sister, Hannah, texted me to ask if I was ever going to blog again, that it was time for a new post! I can't believe that it's been a month since I posted last, but we have been so busy! I will just do a quick post on what we have been up to lately...

Since my last post, Bailey Jane got tubes in her ears and it has been life changing for all of us! She wasn't sleeping at all, and now she is a great sleeper! I was nervous before the procedure, only because it was a first for us to have any type of surgery, but she did great and her doctor was wonderful!!!

Bailey and Daddy playing while we waited

It was early in the morning, but she was in such a sweet mood!

Bailey was checking out what that nurse was doing to her!

All done!!! Not a very happy camper at this point, but excited to snuggle and drink that bottle!

We also were extremely with VBS at our church. I don't have any pictures, but it was a lot of fun and we had a lot of kids there! We have such a great team that put together our vacation bible school and we were all talking about how much fun it is to think about how our children are beginning to enjoy vbs and the memories they will have!

Besides that, we have mostly hung out around our house working on projects that need to be finished before I start back to work. I will have to do a separate post on that...we have painted and redone our sunroom/playroom and am currently working on the dining room that we are making into an office!

When I think of decorations for our house, my favorite things are pictures and artwork that Bailey and Griffin make. Well...one day I got a crazy idea that it was time for them to paint their first masterpiece and I must say that it went way better than I expected it to! With clothes off and covers off of the high chairs, art time began...

Trying to figure it out

Griffin loves to make a mess!

A little paint on the face, but loving it!

A little paint EVERYWHERE, but it washed off so easily!

I loved how they turned out, and after their names and the date were written on them, they are now displayed in their bathroom and they look so cute!

The last week of July, Jacob and I went to Disney World on a trip that he won with his work and we had a great time! We missed Bailey and Griffin so much, but it was great to have some time to ourselves.

It's hard for me to believe that summer is over and it's time to get back to work, but I'm ready for the fall and all of the fun that brings!

Happy Fourth of July!

This Fourth of July was pretty laid back for our family! We started the day off early, watched a little Sesame Street as a family, then played outside in our little pool and new water table...

Later, we had a few friends come over for burgers and to watch fireworks. Even though there was a major burn ban, the city still had their firework show at one of the local churches and it's less than a mile from our house, so we all took blankets and chairs outside to sit and watch the fireworks!

Bailey loves playing in the grass!

Bronson was the "big kid" and shared so sweetly when the babies wanted everything he had!!

Just trying to get a cute pic...they move too fast!

We laughed, because I walked away to get something, and of course they sat perfectly when I wasn't trying to take a picture!

Griffin, Jackson, and Bailey...we are SOOOOO excited that they're moving here and will live two miles from us! These three are going to have a lot of fun together in the future!

"Hooray for the USA!"

Bronson taking over swinging duties while we sat!

Heading down the road to the field where we watched the fireworks show...so grateful for my family! (It's funny because what you can't see is everyone else singing "If you're happy and you know it" to get them to look)

Does it get much sweeter than that?

B and G decided to let Jackson in the wagon for a few minutes!

Homemade ice cream!

Griffin's turn!

Watching the fireworks...they did great!

Amazed by the show!

Happy Fourth of July!!!!
