A Birthday Party, Bailey's First Haircut, and Eating with Forks!

Well, that was one of the most random titles to a blog post ever!! :) This is kind of a catch up post, since Mommy hasn't been the best blogger lately!

Last weekend, one of Bailey and Griffin's friends, Cale, had her 2nd birthday party. It was at a park in town, and we love going to the park! They both had a blast!

Such a big girl!

Teamwork going down the slide!

Our future gymnast!

Sweet girl!

Our little monkey!

He's such a mess!

Bailey and Griffin thought they'd play a little tic-tac-toe!

After the birthday party, Daddy and Griffin went home, and Bailey and Mommy headed to get her first haircut. It wasn't too long, but it was VERY uneven, so it was time for a little trim! I took her to the same place we went for Griffin's first haircut, and she also did a great job!!!

Bailey being such a good girl...but unsure about what's happening!

She kept her head down the whole time...she's become a bashful little thing!

My sweet girl would NOT smile...everyone in there was laughing at her!

Sweet little curls!

She was strutting around showing off her new hairdo! :)

Now I'll smile!

After our last checkup, our doctor asked us if they were independently using a fork...and the answer was no! It just hadn't really occurred to me to let them do it because I know what a mess it will be! haha Since she asked, we decided to try it out that night!

Success! After a little practice, Bailey did a great job using her fork. She sometimes preferred to give us her fork, let us put the food on it, then she wanted it back to put in her mouth herself!

Griffin had a blast stabbing his food! He picked it up VERY quickly and ate by himself the whole time!

This is great!! He was showing off his "happy plate"...the boy eats everything!

Messy face, but SO cute! :)

After our messy dinner, we had baths and then got into our monogrammed robes (thanks to Mrs. Terri McDaniel)! haha

Check out those blue eyes!

I love a clean baby!

Cozy and cuddling...well sort of cuddling!

He thought it was so funny!

Love the facial expression!

It's been extremely busy, but fun! My next post will be on our Halloween experience! :)

Splish, Splash, We're Taking a Bath!

Bath time is one of the highlights of our day around our house! I can ask Bailey or Griffin if they want to take a bath...or just turn on the bath water...and they take off to the bathtub! There are many nights that I am soaked when we are done, but those giggles are all worth it! Here are some pictures of one of our favorite adventures...

These two are trouble!

For all of you who don't believe me that Little Miss has quite the attitude...here's the picture to prove it!

She's a mess!

Griffin can splash and thinks it's the funniest thing!

You've entered the splash zone...and we think it's hilarious!

Griffin's not sure what to think about this hairdo!

Pretty girl!

"Whew, bath time is hard work!"

Woo Pig Sooie!

So...I've decided that I'm going to focus on the fun that we had tailgating instead of talking about the outcome of our dear Razorback game yesterday! :(

Yesterday, the Razorbacks played in Little Rock, so we headed down to tailgate with our "Cabot parents", the O'Briens. It's a little different tailgating experience, because it's going to an RV, but it's great for us because we can go inside, run around, and park right next to the RV! It works pretty good for tailgating with two one year olds.

Bailey and I chatting with the girls

Cute, little hog booty...also, notice the gorilla crawl! She's taking a few steps, but just doesn't have the "no fear" attitude that her brother has! :)

She took 7 steps while we were there...that's the most so far!

The boys hanging out!

He never leaves that juice cup far behind!

Who is that big boy?!?!?!

Bailey checking out the book...she LOVES to look at books and is constantly bringing us books to read!

Well, this just melts my heart...Griffin's never too far behind Daddy!

All that walking made him thirsty!

Griffin's first Capri Sun

Linda saved the day when she gave Bailey one too...can't leave her out! haha

Griffin was watching a little football on the TV...I'm sure the guys loved him standing right in front of it!

Shaking that pom-pom...I love her tensed, little arms and face! haha

She stopped shaking the pom-pom to pose for a picture

Bailey is debating how she's going to get that football!

Griffin showing Mr. Eddie Joe how to shake it!

Our faces didn't look quite as happy after the game!

Worn out...I don't think we were even out of the parking lot before he fell asleep!

Tired girl!

Our First Day Back to Work

Well...after a wonderful summer of being home with Bailey and Griffin, the sad day of going back of work has arrived. I know that this is going to be an adjustment for us (especially since all three of us have slept until 9:00 most of the summer!)....a BIG change from getting up multiple times a night and getting up at 6:00a.m.! Although I will miss my babies so much during the day, it really helps me that I love my job and that Mrs. Chelsea takes such good care of them!

Bailey and I this morning...she looks so tired!!! She's like her Mommy...not a morning girl!

Sweet babies!

And just for fun....just a glimpse for you into our daily life...
"Oh wow, Bailey, look at that fun wand!"

Griffin- "I think I'll take that"
Bailey-"I don't think so"

The battle of strength

Now we're both screaming....Griffin won...until Bailey screamed! :)

If you ever need a good laugh, just come on over! They have started tackling each other and they think it's so funny....I have so many "fun" times ahead! :)
