Newborn Pictures

I know you're more than likely thinking, "seriously Melanie, newborn pictures now??" but yes, I am! ;) I got my copy of all of our newborn pictures along with my big ones for my house and I am IN LOVE! I can't wait to get a beautiful frame to put it in...I will wait on Hobby Lobby to have them on sale, of course! Just thought I would give you a little peak at some of my favorites (hard to choose), but I won't put all 200 on here! It's so hard to believe that they were so small just three months ago and how much they have grown...a little sad that they're growing so fast, but am so blessed that they are growing and healthy. Hope you enjoy!

 My two little peas!

This is the description of my life! Arms full, but love every minute of it!

 My sweet family!

 The girls!

 Daddy's little girl

 The "men" of the family

They were NEVER awake at this point, and he was awake so much of the time we took pictures!

Our little Houdini ALWAYS got his hand out, no matter how tightly he was swaddled!

This is the position I pictured them in before they were born...see those elbows?!?! Not so sweet! :)

 My beautiful little girl

LOVE this one...such a tiring life!

I love this facial expression

My Dad gave me a Gund bear just like this one when I was born, so they each got one the day they were born

Bailey and her bear

Hope you enjoyed seeing a few pictures of our sweet babies! I'm so glad I will have these pictures forever to remember how small they were!

Our Weekend!

This weekend has been a really great one for the Fox's! I LOVE Saturdays and Sundays because Jacob is home with us and it's so much more fun and it makes it much easier on this Mom!

Friday night, one of my coworkers, Elizabeth, volunteered to keep the babies while we went out on a date....we certainly did not turn that down!! She has twins of her own that are in 5th grade and I hope that mine turn out as sweet as hers. They said that they were good for them, but I have figured out that I don't think anyone will tell me if they're not! :) Elizabeth took a few pictures with her phone and sent them to me at dinner...

Mason and Griffin

Maggie and Bailey

Saturday morning, Jacob woke up bright and early and headed to Cabot Fest to set up their tent for Farm Bureau. He was there all day "working", so we decided to head up and visit. We even got to watch him in the dunk tank. I got to see quite a few people I hadn't seen in awhile and who hadn't met the babies yet, so that was a lot of fun! Griffin and Bailey were PERFECT while we were there, then took great naps when we got home!

Taking a little snooze while we walked around!

 The motivational sign! :)

Amanda and Bronson taking a turn...didn't hit with the ball, but Bronson got to push the button!

Bailey and Daddy

Now..this is BIG news! Griffin slept through the night last night! HALLELUJAH!!!!!! I don't know if it's a one time thing or what, but man, I was so excited! Each night, Jacob and I "claim" a baby and that one is our responsibility for the night...he chose Bailey last night and I chose Griffin...luck of the draw! :) They went down at 8:30 and Griffin didn't wake up until 5:30, then went back to sleep at 6:00 and slept til 9:00. Bailey on the other hand, woke up 3 times...we have figured out the problem is that she won't drink her whole bottle before she falls asleep...which means she's not as full, which makes her wake up earlier! I feel like we are making progress though, so that really helps!

Sweet sleeping boy!

Today we went to church and we dressed Griffin and Bailey in their fall clothes. They looked SO cute if I do say so myself! :) We haven't quite mastered the church thing yet...I end up in the nursery most Sundays, but it is nice to be there as a family. These babies are loved so much by our sweet church family!

Sweet boy in his "big boy" clothes

 Bailey was a little distracted

This picture of Bailey makes me laugh because she is always moving!

 Bailey headed to church

Griffin wasn't so happy about heading to church,  but had to take a picture of his first shoes! We'll have to take a better one later!

It has been a great weekend for the Fox family!

How are my babies already 3 months old??!?!?

So this post is about a week late, but we were in El Dorado for a week while Jacob was out of town on a work trip and we have been playing catch up since then! It is unreal to think that three months...a FOURTH OF A YEAR..has already gone by with Bailey and Griffin! I already look at their older pictures and can not believe how much they have grown. They are getting so big! I'm going to do a paragraph about each one because they are already SO different from each other!

Pictures are difficult right now...love Griffin's face!

Griffin will get to go first, since he is the big brother! :) He has gotten so big! He can now wear some of his 6 month clothes and they're a little baggy, but not much. He has gotten so long and with his big hands and feet, I really think that he is going to be a tall little boy. I've always thought that he has been a cute little guy, but lately, he has developed such a personality. The funniest part is when he wakes me up in the middle of the night SCREAMING and as soon as I go in there and lay him down to change his diaper, he smiles so big! I've heard to not really interact with them in the middle of the night because it will make them more alert and not want to go to sleep, but I can't help but smile and laugh when he flashes that big ole' grin at me in the middle of the night. We went through quite a fussy period, but that's getting so much better! He is able to hold his head pretty steady now, but still needs a little more tummy time for extra strengthening, which he HATES! He still loves his play mat and will lay there and grin for quite awhile. Just this past week, he has started really hitting the toys and grabbing for them. It's so much fun to watch him learn new tricks! One of the best parts of my day is in the evening time and he wants to cuddle...he LOVES it and I can't do it a whole lot when I am at home by myself, but at night, Jacob and I each take a baby and have some cuddling time. He wraps his sweet little arm around my neck and just lays his head on my shoulder...talk about melting my heart! I am so thankful for this sweet boy and can't wait to see him grow...just not too fast! :)

This was the best that I could get before this...

Love that Bailey is all scrunched! haha Pictures are hard with 3 month olds!

Learning young to love football!

During bath time...I LOVE those sweet eyes and lips!

Now Bailey has quite the personality! When she's happy, she's happy....and when she's mad, she is MAD! It really is funny to watch because she can turn it on and off so fast! She has the sweetest smile and I know she's going to use that to her full advantage with her Daddy when she gets a little older. She has also learned how to stick her bottom lip out when she's not happy and it cracks us up! She is holding her head up pretty good and loves to look around. She used to really fight sleep, but she is not really doing that anymore...I feel like she's learning that sleep is a good thing! She is much more petite than Griffin is...we're glad it's that way around :)! She seems much lighter and much shorter, but I don't know their actual measurements...we go at the end of this month for our 4 month checkup. Bailey still gets tummy time each day, but likes it so much, that she normally falls asleep when I put her down on her tummy. I guess it's relaxing! :) She also still loves the play mat and has really started cooing and making the sweetest little sounds when she's playing. Sometimes we get lucky and she will really coo and talk to us when we're holding her! Hearing my babies "talk" to us is one of the sweetest things ever!! I can't wait to see how this sweet personality grows and look forward to it developing even more! I think Bailey might rule this roost if we're not careful! :)

Love my sweet girl!

I hope they always love baths as much as they do now!

Sweet smile!

I am reminded daily of how blessed I am to have two healthy and happy babies. When I meet others and they see that I have twins, they are constantly saying how lucky I am that they are both growing so well and are so healthy. These past three months have been some of the hardest...okay, pretty much the hardest, times that I have done in my entire life! I have experienced more emotions than I even knew were physically possible. I am also SO extremely grateful that I have a husband who supports me, listens to me, comes home to help with lunch feedings, gets up in the middle of the night, is a great Christian example, watches the babies after work so that I can have some "me" time, and the list could go on and on!

I am asked a lot about our sleep schedules, arrangements, naptime, etc., so I will do a post sometime this week about sleep...something I have really taken for granted for the past 26 years! :)

Our Daily Life

Once again, sorry for the lack of blogging...I really do promise to TRY to do better...I just can't guarantee anything these days! :) For about a week and a half, B and G decided they didn't really care to nap, so that made things a little more difficult. However, things have gotten smoother the past couple of days. I have had people ask what our daily life is like, so I thought I would do a post about it...

First, I get to wake up to these sweet little faces! Griffin wakes up about 7:30 and Bailey wakes up about 9:30...Bailey takes after her Mommy when it comes to loving her sleep!

I love it that they both smile at me when I talk to them first thing in the morning...unless they decide they're hungry! :)

After their morning feed, we typically load up and go for a walk...the other day it was raining, so we drove around for an hour just to get out of the house and makes two little babies happy!

Around 12:00-1:00, Jacob comes home for lunch and we feed them and put them down for a nap and they sleep for a little while if all goes as planned...Bailey sleeps about an hour and a half and Griffin sleeps about two and a half hours.

In the past week, we have transitioned the nap time in their bed...for awhile, swings were the only place they would nap and I was desperate for a few hours of peace! :)

After they wake up from nap, we eat again and then have playtime. They really are so pleasant during this time of day and I love it! Their new favorite thing is their playmat and they will lay on it and grin so big...it really is so sweet!

Jacob typically gets home sometime between 5-6 and we eat, yet again, and then have some "family time." This is one of my favorite times of the day because one thing that I really struggle with is feeling like I'm not giving each one enough attention, so I love it when he comes home and we can give them some individual time with them. We also will sometimes go for another walk if it's nice outside...they love being outside in this fall weather.

 Love my sweet babies!

Funny story...Jacob decided to do this with Bailey last night and I was playing with Griffin. I heard him gasp and yell, and I looked over and his face was COVERED in spit up....his face, his hair, his shirt, EVERYTHING...I don't know that I have ever laughed so hard! I'm so mad that I didn't take a picture, but he put Bailey down and ran to the bathroom...Griffin and I went over to talk to Bailey and as I got over to her, she was grinning so big that I thought she was about to let out a laugh...it was HILARIOUS! When Jacob came back out, I was still laughing and Bailey and Griffin were still grinning about it! :)

There is nothing that I love more than these sweet smiles from Bailey and Griffin! It seems like when I feel like I'm about to lose my mind, they can sense it and will give me a big smile...nothing seems nearly as bad when I have these two healthy babies smiling up at me!

We used to put them down around 10:00, thinking that they would sleep longer..however, lately they have started getting really fussy around 8:30, so we start bath time around 7:30-8:00. They LOVE baths and I love the smell of a clean baby! On a normal night, they are down by 8:30 or 9:00, which is nice because it leaves Jacob and I some time to talk to each other! Bailey is sleeping pretty good at night, typically only waking up once and sometimes twice, then sleeping til 9:30. Griffin gets up two, three, or four times and wakes up at 7:30. Once again though, it's all worth it! I cherish sleep these days and am learning to function on a little less! After all of that, we wake up and do it again each day!
